We're human, and what we write will have mistakes. Lianbao's approach is simple: when we find an error we fix it, and we log the important changes here in the open rather than quietly editing them away. We already note that changeable numbers — fees, limits — should defer to Binance's official pages, but when a piece of text itself is wrong, owning up to it is still the honest thing to do. Here's the log so far.
Corrected items
- June 2026 — Binance fees written as a fixed number. The first version of the "Binance fee calculator" notes wrote spot maker/taker fees as a single fixed percentage. In reality the rate varies with your VIP level, whether you pay with BNB, and other conditions, and Binance adjusts it. We've rewritten it as a range and made clear the actual figure should defer to Binance's official fee page.
- June 2026 — Web3 Wallet guide had two steps in the wrong order. The first version of the "Web3 Wallet" guide reversed the order of "back up your seed phrase" and "set a wallet password," which could trip up readers following along. We've corrected the order and added the reminder to "write your seed phrase down offline — never photograph it or upload it to the cloud."
- June 2026 — Added an explanation of on-chain gas fees. Several guides that mention transfers and withdrawals originally didn't explain why a "gas fee" gets charged, leaving beginners to think they'd been overcharged. We've added a note: gas is a fee paid to the blockchain network, it floats with how congested the network is, it isn't collected by the exchange or by this site, and it differs from chain to chain.
