About Lianbao
Last updated: June 2026
Let's be upfront: the "Zhou An" byline here is a pen name, not a real one. We're not pretending to be some institution's analyst, and we're not going to hang a polished résumé on the wall. The truth is more ordinary: we're a small group of regular users who bought crypto, moved funds around, and made our share of mistakes, then turned what we figured out into the step-by-step guides you see here.
Why we built this site
When we first got into crypto a few years ago, the guidance out there tended toward two extremes. Some of it had that signal-group "just close your eyes and buy" energy; the rest made simple things sound mystical and left you no closer to actually doing them. We got stuck plenty of times ourselves — pasting an address on the wrong chain, never getting fees straight, not understanding why a withdrawal had to wait, nearly falling for a fake-support DM. We worked it all out eventually, and figured we'd lay out the steps we'd walked through for the next person stuck in the same spot. That's where Lianbao started. There's no grander story than that.
How we make money (plainly)
We don't hide this part. Lianbao is an affiliate partner of Binance. When you sign up at Binance through a link or invite code on this site, Binance shares a portion of the trading fees with us as a referral fee. That's the main source of income for this site.
A few things you should know first. One: signing up through our link costs you the same rate as going to Binance directly — not a cent more, and in some cases an invite code can even get you a fee rebate, so it only works out cheaper for you, never pricier. Two: we can't see and never receive your account, balance, or any personal trading data — the affiliate dashboard only shows aggregate numbers. Three: the fact that we earn a referral fee doesn't mean you "should" open an account — whether to get in, and how much, is always your own decision.
The principles we write by
Because we make money from referrals, we have all the more reason to make the content worth your time — otherwise this site won't last. Here are the rules we've set for ourselves:
- We walk through it before we write it. We try to actually do every step in a guide ourselves before putting it on the page, rather than rephrasing someone else's article.
- Numbers come with their source. For things that change — fees, limits, rules — we note that the Binance official page is what counts, because these really do get updated.
- If we're wrong, we fix it openly. We're human and we make mistakes. When we find one we correct it, and we log the important changes on the corrections page rather than quietly editing and pretending nothing happened.
- No individual investment advice. We write about "how to do it," not "what you should buy or whether now is the time to get in." Any decision involving your money is yours to assess, or to take to a qualified professional.
